Zoo Educational Activities

Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park has always shown an interest as well as active involvement to increase environmental awareness among civil society and has tried hard to mitigate the concerned environmental issues. One of the major objectives of the zoo is ‘Conservation through Education’ and to promote awareness of precious biodiversity among the zoo visitors to inculcate a sense of responsibility through interpretation, educational programmes and signage. Hence to fulfill this need, zoo’s education section has hired Educational Officer in 2009, since then various educational activities have been carried out to spread the awareness about environmental issues and wildlife conservation among the students, visitors and people residing in the city.
