ROAD PROJECTS in PPP

The concept of PPP has emerged owing to shortage of funds at municipal corporations. Public-private partnership (PPP) describes a government service or private business venture which is funded and operated through a partnership of government and one or more private sector companies. The private party provides a public service or project and assumes substantial financial, technical and operational risk in the project.

PPP on premium basis

PMC has decided to involve private funds in infrastructure development of particular projects.To put it simple, PPP module on premium basis means a contractor/builder/developer will invest in infrastructure development and in return would get a credit note in the form of hardship premium.

Under this module, four projects have been executed in Pune area,of which, two comprising total seven roads have been successfully completed.
