With an aim to bring civic administration one step closer to Punekars, Pune Municipal Corporation had introduced multiple channels for citizen interaction under PMC CARE framework two years ago. CARE stands for Citizen Assistance Response and Engagement.
PMC CARE allows citizens to connect with Pune Municipal Corporation through various digital channels such as websites, Toll-free number, SMS, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, E-mail, Mobile applications to receive information, services, and register complaints. The complaints received from the citizens are promptly resolved within the prescribed period.
Now, PMC is introducing an advanced version of this digitally driven citizen-centric initiative i.e. PMC CARE 2.0.
With a focus on active citizen engagement, PMC CARE 2.0 provides single window access to the arena of services of PMC along with various collaboration tools for direct engagement. The portal ( www.pmccare.in )and mobile app facilitate the easy communication between citizen and city administration through Polls, Discussion Forums, Communities and Volunteering activities. Citizens can easily register their complaints online and avail direct links to the PMC Services such as Birth/ Death Certificate, Zone Certificate, Site plan, Property Tax payments, NOC and self assessment for property tax. Portal provides a functionality to pay the taxes online without any additional charges. Citizen can book the appointment for doorstep services through this portal. PMC representative would visit at the citizen’s location at citizen's convenient time for collection of taxes at a nominal service charge of Rs. 87/-.
PMC CARE 2.0 provides facility to track the location of almost 32 types of landmarks on city map which includes public places such as ward offices, government offices, hospitals, garbage bins, public toilets, heritage sites, blood banks, police stations etc.
