With an aim to provide updated information to citizens, Pune Municipal Corporation has established its presence on various social media channels. PMC is present on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and also provides support to citizens through WhatsApp, SMS, Email and Call Centre.

As per social media and engagement policy of Pune Municipal Corporation, the information about various initiatives, projects and programs is communicated to citizens on a regular basis. A separate team has been set up for this task.

 

The citizens are also given facility to lodge a grievance through any of the social media channels. The social media team forwards the complaint to the concerned department for further process.

OVERVIEW & FUNCTIONING

Pune Municipal Corporation is working towards chalking out Smart Governance roadmap for each department for next three years. This will lay foundation of our Smart Governance roadmap which would focus on delivering citizen centric services through various channels and re-engineering our existing process to support these services. Existing services, processes, delivery channels needs to be relooked to identify the pain points from citizen’s perspective. Simplification of processes, elimination of redundant forms, and reduction of human touch points by embracing technology will be the agenda under Smart Governance project.
